CSULB MFA Students Foster a Community of Artists
GLAMFA, also known as the Greater LA MFA Exhibition, is an annual group exhibition curated and organized by graduate students at CSULB. The 2019 exhibition opened on January 22, and related events included graduate open studios for CSULB students, a visiting artist and curator panel, an exhibition opening, and work on display for two weeks in the School of Art Galleries. The focus and inspiration of the event was on fostering a community of artists interested in collaboration. GLAMFA 2019: Open Relationships (the 14th annual GLAMFA exhibition) featured a range of artistic conversations between MFA students from UC Santa Barbara, Claremont, UCLA, UC Irvine, Otis, CSU Northridge, ArtCenter College of Design, Cal Arts, and CSU San Bernardino.
