Robert Summers
An alumnus of CSULB, Mr. Summers earned his bachelor of science in accountancy in 1983. While attending CSULB he was a team member of Men’s Golf. Currently he is the chief financial officer of Private Management Group in Irvine. With over 28 years of experience, he is also listed as owner of the company. Private Management Group, Inc. is a registered investment advisory firm that manages 4,905 accounts totaling an estimated $2.36 billion in assets under management. Mr. Summer’s supports CSULB through donations made by the Summers Family Trust and has contributed substantially to CSULB in support of the Annual Fund and primarily Athletics. Involved on campus, in 2014 he served on the Athletics Board of Directors. Robert and his wife Carol are members of the Carillon Society for their philanthropic contributions to CSULB. Per our development staff, Mr. Summers has been involved with St. Joseph Health Mission Hospital, Laguna Beach and has worked with a charity that helps people with substance abuse issues.
