Computer Lab and Study Space
The AIM Center has a computer lab and study space that provides students with disabilities with a wide range of assistive and non-assistive technology software and hardware. The Center is equipped with thirteen (13) height-adjustable computer stations, nine (9) of which can be manually adjusted and three (3) of which can be electronically adjusted as well as desktop video magnifiers/CCTVs. All computer stations are equipped with the following software:
- Job Access with Speech (JAWS) (screen reader)
- ZoomText Magnifier/Reader (screen magnification and screen reader)
- Fusion (JAWS and ZoomText package)
- Word Q (Word Prediction Software)
- ReadSpeaker TextAid (Text-to-Speech Software)
- Microsoft Office Suite
BMAC Library Study Room
BMAC Library Study Room is located in the lower level library (LL-013). The study room is a private study space equipped with (2) computer stations and (1) video magnifier/CCTV. Both computer stations are equipped with the following software:
- Job Access with Speech (JAWS) (Screen Reader)
- ZoomText Magnifier/Reader (Screen Magnification and Screen Reader)
- Fusion (JAWS and ZoomText Package)
- ReadSpeaker TextAid (Text-to-Speech Software)
- Dragon Professional (Speech Recognition Software)
- Microsoft Office Suite
Students registered with BMAC may also receive access to a study room in the University Library’s lower-level area (LL-013) as part of their approved accommodations. Students may email aimc@csulb.edu for access to the BMAC Study Room.
