Toy Drive
November 1-December 1, 2026
Donate new toys and gift cards to local foster children for distribution at our annual Bob Rodgers' Cherishing the Children Holiday Party. We encourage you to decorate a Toy Donation box to display in your department to facilitate participation! Drop off collected toys at the Bookstore weekly.
Please drop off your donations at the Beach Shops as early as possible in November so we can wrap them in preparation for the party on December 8.
Items to Donate
- Unwrapped toys (no plushies, please) for children 0-12 years old.
- Target gift cards ($25) for older children 12-18 years old. Drop off at the Bookstore in an envelope to the attention of Kristin Bonetati.
Bob Rodgers' Cherishing the Children Holiday Party

At the Cherishing the Children Holiday Party, we celebrate children and their caregivers with games, food, prizes, and music. Each child receives a gift donated by CSULB staff and a goodie bag from Santa and Ms. Claus. Pictures with Santa are optional for the children. This is a closed event with our community partners; CSULB staff are welcome to volunteer to support the event (see Elves Wanted, below).

If you love children and experiencing the joy of the holiday spirit, we need adult elf help with this event. Come as you are, or dress up with props we'll have on hand for fun! Email staff-council@csulb.edu for more details and to sign up.
NOTE: Photos will be taken of adults only during this event. No photos of children are permitted.
