Local Agency Facility Use at Cal State Long Beach

Like many of our sister campuses in the California State University System, and consistent with our Beach value of advancing the public good, the university is finalizing agreements to assist local agencies with facility needs to help with the response to the COVID pandemic. We are currently finalizing details with our neighboring VA Hospital to allow their use of one of our Hillside residence halls (Building E) as between-shift rest space for medical staff. In addition, a facilities-use agreement is being finalized with Memorial Care allowing them to use a parking lot access road near the parking structures off Palo Verde for COVID-19 testing. We encourage all staff to work from home if possible, however if you are still coming to campus and are not involved in supporting these efforts, we ask that you avoid these areas to facilitate the work of our community partners.
