Wellness While You're Away
Wellness While You're Away brings wellness experts directly to your students. Whether you'll be out of the classroom or want to connect your students with campus wellness resources, you can request a guest presentation on a wide range of student wellness topics and session lengths to fit your class time.
Request a Presentation
To request a presentation, please provide:
- 2-3 presentation topics
- Preferred date, time, and location
- Estimated number of students
Please submit requests at least two weeks in advance.

Bystander Intervention (1 hour)
Empowers individuals to take action when they witness harm or misconduct.
Naloxone Training: Recognize. Respond. Reverse. (30 min)
Identifying the signs and symptoms of an opioid overdose and learning the steps to respond effectively during an emergency.
Nutrition Basics (approx. 45 minutes -1 hour)
Benefits of eating a healthy diet, intuitive eating, preparing fast and healthy meals, and healthy eating on a budget.
Party Safe (45 min)
Understanding how alcohol and other drugs affect the body, recognizing the signs of alcohol poisoning and overdose, and learning how to respond in an emergency.
Sexual Health (approx. 45 minutes -1 hour)
Covers reproductive health and anatomy, birth control methods, STIs and HIV, healthy relationships, and self-love and respect.
Sleep Health: Get Your Z's to Get Your A's (45 min)
The importance of quality sleep and tips on how to improve your sleep habits.
Student Health Services Overview (15 min)
An overview of the campus health center and the services available to enrolled students.

Students learn how to deal with their stress through interactive stress management activities.
Unmasking Imposter Syndrome (1 hour)
Students learn how to cope when they experience imposter syndrome.

An Introduction to Safer (30 min)
Safer is a campus resource that provides confidential advocacy and support to students impacted by sexual harassment or assault, relationship violence, or stalking. This workshop provides an overview of Safer's advocacy services and the prevention education opportunities available to the CSULB community.
Consent & Boundaries (45 min)
Explores the foundations of consent and equips participants with skills to communicate and respect boundaries in everyday relationships.
