Studies show people value financial advice from romantic partners more than from AI alone

Max Alberhasky, an assistant professor of marketing at Cal State Long Beach, conducted research published in the online journal PsyPost that found investors trusted advice from someone who genuinely cared about them more than guidance from artificial intelligence. However, the study also indicates that giving AI human-like names or using it as a supportive tool for a human advisor can significantly increase a person’s willingness to trust it.
