Professor explains to children why skunks stink

Ted Stankowich, a professor in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics and director of the Mammal Lab at Cal State Long Beach, appeared on a children’s podcast to discuss why skunks smell so bad. He also explained that skunks prefer not to use their limited supply of oily spray and instead rely on other defensive behaviors whenever possible.
