Professor celebrates Japanese American car culture by curating art exhibit

Oliver Wang, professor of sociology in the College of Liberal Arts, was interviewed by LAist and Local News Pasadena about being a first-time project curator for the Japanese American National Museum's new exhibit, “Cruising J-Town: Behind the Wheel of the Nikkei Community,” opening July 31 at Art Center College of Design.  The art project features more than 100 objects including rare photographs and home movies, car club memorabilia, concept car designs along with five classic cars to tell the story.
