Ceremonies are filled, with limited "together" seating available. This means your guests may not be seated together at this late date.

Please be aware: Angel Stadium cannot accommodate requests for seat switching due to pre-reserved seating.

Please read our Commencement FAQs which answer most questions, and check out BEFORE THE CEREMONY and GRAD CHECK-IN pages for details on your ceremony day.

ARRIVE EARLY
Parking lots will open 90 minutes before the ceremony. Please ensure your guests are seated at least 30 mins BEFORE posted ceremony time so they may see you processing in to your seat.

WHAT TO EXPECT on ceremony day:

  • Grads check-in at Gate 4 and guests will enter the stadium through Gates 1-3 to find their seats.
  • GRAD PASSES: Grads will pick up their Grad Passes at check-in. DO NOT LOSE THIS PASSas it is your ticket to main stage for name announcement and your name and academic information display on the jumbotron.
  • PROCESSIONAL:
    • Grads will proceed from check-in to line up inside the stadium in the grad processional line by departments.
    • Beginning promptly at the ceremony start time, graduates will process into the stadium into graduate seating and be featured on the jumbotrons.
  • PROGRAM:
    • The Platform Party, including university and college officials, will then process out to the main stage and the spoken program will begin.
    • Graduates will be notified by an announcement and their Faculty Marshals when to stand and make their way in an orderly fashion to the field to line up to cross the stage.

Subject: CSULB Commencement RSVP, tickets, and Tassel/MarchingOrder deadline

Congratulations Beach Grads,

RSVP for Commencement in your SSO/MyCSULB portal for your code for your 12 guest tickets. Ceremonies are filling up, so you are not guaranteed all 12 seats will be together!

STEP 1. Download the MLB Ballpark App using your CSULB email to set up the account. If you don't have a CSULB email, use the email account you use most often. REMEMBER YOUR LOGIN CREDENTIALS (email and password) as neither we nor the Angels can reset your account.

STEP 2. WATCH the RSVP tutorial (link) for example on how to choose seating. You can also read GUEST TICKET INSTRUCTIONS before you go through the process. Main Stage is on 2nd base so be aware as you choose seats.

  • Pick ALL your guest seats at once, even if they're in different sections.
    • At this point in registration, ceremonies are filling up and you many not get more than 2 seats together in any one section. Continue to choose seats until you have all 12 seats, regardless of if they are in separate areas. Over 9000 grads have already claimed tickets, so blocks of seats together are unlikely.
    • When you choose your seats, you are shown the view from the seat, so you can see where the main stage will be on 2nd base and what your guests' views will be of that area.
  • Then submit/redeem your ticket code.
  • Do NOT pick fewer than 12 seats and then try to get more with the same code. It will be void and we do not have extra codes to give out.
  • You'll be set with the first number of seats you choose if you submit before choosing ALL seats.

**Tickets cannot be reissued either by us nor Angels once you redeem the code, it is done and cannot be reused.

STEP 3. Look for the “COMMENCEMENT” and “Tassel/MarchingOrder” tiles in your CSULB SSO and RSVP and confirm name pronunciation.
* NOTE: you do not order your cap tassel from here. This is just the name of the software platform.

FYI: Extra ticket codes might be available in late April if there's space dependent on ceremony.
Larger ceremonies (Liberal Arts, Health and Human Services, Engineering) may not have extra tickets.
