Professor discusses proposed legislation regulating minors use of social media

Gwen Shaffer, a professor in the Department of Journalism and Public Relations and director of research for the College of Liberal Arts, commented in the Long Beach Post on proposed state legislation that would restrict minors’ use of social media. She noted that momentum is building behind the effort and that, if such a law is enacted, California is the most likely place for it to happen.
