Matt Lesenyie, an assistant professor of political science at Cal State Long Beach, spoke with the Orange County Register about whether President Trump will be a significant factor in the upcoming California governor’s race. Lesenyie noted that although Trump may have influenced voter behavior in the recent redistricting proposition, he is unlikely to have the same impact on the gubernatorial election.
