Incoming CSULB president highlights student support mission

Cal State Long Beach’s incoming president, Loren J. Blanchard, discussed his new role in an interview with NBC News Los Angeles. He said he plans to continue the university’s strong student support system, highlighting the large number of CSULB students who are the first in their families to attend college. Emphasizing the university’s responsibility to its students, he added, “If we found a student qualified enough to enter our doors, then we have a responsibility to make sure that they reach the finish line.”
