Geography expert explains why Long Beach floods during rainstorms

Geography lecturer David Pepper spoke with the Long Beach Watchdog about flooding in the city during recent storms. He explained that much of the area has become impermeable due to paving and development, and added that climate researchers have observed a shift toward more intense rainfall occurring over shorter periods of time.
