CSULB Shark Lab hosts training for lifeguards

Shark Lab director and professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at Cal State Long Beach, Chris Lowe, held a workshop for local lifeguards to learn more about white sharks as part of their beach safety training. According to KCBS, Lowe said, "The goal for them [lifeguards] is to get an update on what we're learning about white sharks right now. So, where they are moving, how are they acting, how they act around people and what does that mean in terms of their ability to manage a beach."
