Consumer expert offers advice to help students find their first credit card

Zoe Engstrom, Ed.D., a lecturer in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences at Cal State Long Beach, provided the online personal finance company, WalletHub, with tips for students looking to obtain their first credit card. Engstrom suggested students find a card with no annual fee and low interest rates. She also suggested keeping the credit limit low and pay off any balance each month.
