An assistant professor offers insight into the proposal to permanently extend California’s income-tax surcharge

Matt Lesenyie, an assistant professor of political science at Cal State Long Beach, spoke with the journal EdSource  about the push to make California’s temporary tax on higher–income residents permanent. He noted that the coalition that supported the redistricting proposition would likely back making the tax permanent as well.
