Engineering dean transitions to new role

Forouzan Golshani, dean of the College of Engineering at Cal State Long Beach is transitioning to a new appointment as special assistant to the provost beginning this semester.

Tracy Bradley Maples, associate dean for the college, has been named by Provost Brian Jersky as the acting administrator-in-charge of the college.

Maples began teaching at CSULB in 1992 after completing her Ph.D. in Information and Computer Science at the University of California, Irvine. She also holds a master's degree in Computer Science from UC Riverside.

"I am grateful to Tracy for agreeing to provide interim leadership to the college," said Jersky. "I have every confidence she will provide positive and future-facing leadership to the college."
