Curtis Bennett
Curtis Bennett, Ph.D., serves as the Richard D. Green Dean of the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at Cal State Long Beach.
He has more than 40 publications in mathematics, with specialties in combinatorics, algebra, and the scholarship of teaching and learning. He was the 2010 recipient of the Mathematics Association of America’s (MAA) Deborah and Franklin Tepper Haimo Award for Distinguished College or University Teaching and the MAA’s 2011 Carl B. Allendoerfer Award for Expository Excellence. He served as governor of the Southern California–Nevada Section of the MAA from 2016 to 2019.
He holds a doctorate in mathematics from the University of Chicago.
