New campus with temporary buildings
Classes convene on the new campus in temporary buildings in September 1951. The parking lot is situated on the side of a hill, and when it rains, the vehicles slide down the hill, bumping into each other in the mud.

New student facilities
New student services are established or improved upon from prior years to accommodate students, such as the library, a health office, The 49er Canteen, a lounge, bookstore, and placement office.

Enrollment continues growing
By Spring 1952 enrollment more than doubles again to over 2,000 students with more than 80 instructional staff.
