NEXT APPLICATION REVIEW IS APRIL 2024

The 2023-2024 ASCEND scholarships for tuition, subsistence aid, and academic/classroom support applications for spring 2024 or summer 2024 are currently open until scholarships are exhausted. Students that are interested in applying must submit an application via this link or (https://csulb.academicworks.com/opportunities/13068). ASCEND scholarships will be distributed by CSULB Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships. ASCEND support will be integrated with other kinds of educational aid, which cannot exceed student’s cost of attendance allowance.

For the next decades, Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander (AANAPI) will serve as one of the primary U.S. workforce. Therefore, ASCEND aims to prepare ASCEND students and to enhance student’s potential toward their future success. ASCEND scholarships supplement academic needs toward increasing postsecondary education access, affordability, and completion by offering $1,000 tuition scholarships, $1,000 subsistence aid, or $500 academic/classroom support for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) students to improve student’s educational success through timely graduation and excellent GPA. Undergraduate students pursuing an undergraduate degree in STEM disciplines, that will most benefit from the ASCEND support, are encouraged to apply. Please check ASCEND website (https://www.csulb.edu/ascend/ascend-student-initiatives/undergraduate-scholarships) or email ASCEND.AANAPISI@csulb.edu if your major is classified as a STEM major.
