Mohamed Abdelhamid
Mohamed Abdelhamid, Ph.D., is the director of the Master of Science in Information Systems program and an advisor for the business analytics certificate at Cal State Long Beach.
His research focuses on health care analytics, information privacy, and cybersecurity, with recent projects exploring responsible and generative artificial intelligence in health care. His work has appeared in leading journals, including the Journal of Medical Internet Research, Journal of Biomedical Informatics and Decision Support Systems, and has been featured by national outlets such as Reuters, the Long Beach Post, the Huffington Post and Neuroscience News.
Abdelhamid serves as an associate editor for the Journal of Electronic Commerce Research and is a member of the program committee for the Annual Security Conference. He previously chaired research tracks for AMCIS and HICSS and served as an associate editor and session chair for ICIS and INFORMS conferences.
He earned his doctorate from SUNY Buffalo in 2017.
