Ayla Donlin

Ayla Donlin, Ed.D., is a lecturer in the Department of Kinesiology at California State University, Long Beach. She is also the director of the LifeFit Center, an educational and research laboratory for kinesiology students as well as a health and fitness facility for the Long Beach community and university employees.

Donlin’s current research focuses on fitness interventions among various populations. She also explores the relationship between vocational identity (how strengths, interests, and talents align with career exploration) and well-being among health and human service undergraduate students. She is certified by the American Council on Exercise as a fitness nutrition specialist and a health coach. She is also certified as a personal trainer by the American College of Sports Medicine.

Donlin holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership and a master’s degree in Kinesiology from California State University, Long Beach.
