Below are research opportunities for post-baccalaureate students at CSULB.

Biotechnology Internships in Stem Cell research (BISC)
BISC trains advanced bachelors, post-baccalaureate, and masters students in the theory and techniques of stem cell research for the development of therapies. Ten interns are selected annually to complete the paid second year of a two-year stem cell track of the Biotechnology Certificate Program at CSULB.  These interns each receive a $30,000 stipend plus up to $7,000 tuition to perform full-time research on one of more than thirty laboratories at Cedars-Sinai, City of Hope, or UC Irvine.

Hispanic Health Opportunity Learning Alliance (H2OLA)
The H2OLA Program provides opportunities for first-generation Latina/o graduates by promoting graduate research in biomedical and health sciences.

The Hispanic Serving Institutions - Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math Program (HSI - STEM)
The HSI-STEM supports first-generation Latina/o students successfully pursue graduate degrees and careers in STEM fields.

Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP)
The goal of LSAMP is to support students as they complete their academic degree program and their futures in the STEM disciplines.

Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP)
The ORSP serves the University community by creating a campus environment that is conducive to promoting research and other scholarly activities that contribute to the mission of the University.

Physics Teacher Education Coalition (PhysTEC)
PhysTEC provides support and opportunities to students pursuing teaching careers in physics.

Research Initiative for Scientific Enhancement (RISE)
The RISE program supports students interested in developing careers as professional research scientists in biomedical and behavioral science fields. Its goal is to increase the interest, skills, and competitiveness of students pursuing biomedical or behavioral research careers. The program supports research participation and career enhancement with the expectation that participants will pursue education to the Ph.D. following graduation.
