Free GRE Workshop Series (6 Sessions):
Dates: May 31; June 2, 7, 9, 14, 16
Time: 11am-2pm
Location: Online (Zoom)
Registered participants will receive a Zoom link/password to join the workshops prior to the start of the sessions. Students will also be emailed exercise handouts approximately one week prior to the start of the start of the workshops.
Workshop Details
The GRE Preparation Workshop Series is designed to provide students with an overview of preparing for the Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) general exam. Students will receive in-depth guidance on areas such as time-saving strategies, educated guessing techniques, and select GRE vocabulary. The workshops assists students with content covering all three sections of the GRE exam: Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing.
Required Textbook
Registered students must purchase the following GRE textbook prior to the first workshop session: “The Official Guide to the GRE General Test, 3rd Edition” (ISBN: 9781259862410) by the Educational Testing Services (ETS). The book is available for purchase online (e.g., Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, or directly from ETS) for approximately $20. It is available new, used, or in an electronic version such as Kindle.

Required Textbook
Prior to the first class meeting, undergraduate students, alumni, and others not affiliated with CSULB must purchase The Official Guide to the GRE General Test, 3rd Edition (ETS). The GRE prep book costs approximately $25 new. The textbook can be purchased as either hard copy or kindle/e-book version. All currently enrolled graduate students do not need to purchase the book; it will be provided for you the first day of class.
