The President and Provost's Leadership Fellows Program is a transformative leadership development initiative that cultivates the next generation of equity-minded leaders at CSULB. Through a two-year journey, Fellows engage in bi-weekly seminars, delving into critical challenges facing higher education locally, nationally, and globally. Informed by campus and national experts, participants learn about leadership strategies, university systems, and the evolving landscape of higher education. Fellows demonstrate their growth by proposing and implementing projects that align with CSULB's BEACH 2030 Priorities and Goals.

With a strong emphasis on equity, inclusion, and strategic vision, the Leadership Fellows Program empowers mid-career and senior-level faculty and staff to become transformative leaders, driving positive change within CSULB and beyond.

The two-year Program offers CSULB faculty and staff an opportunity to:

  • Enhance leadership skills and self-awareness for leading diverse organizations
  • Examine critical issues in higher education through multiple frameworks
  • Cultivate a deep understanding of equity principles to advocate for marginalized groups
  • Implement changes that sustain a vibrant and inclusive campus community
