Tyler Reeb

Tyler D. Reeb, Ph.D., is the executive director of the Center for International Trade and Transportation at Cal State Long Beach.

He oversees a multimillion-dollar portfolio of programs advancing transportation, infrastructure, energy systems, and workforce development. He edited and authored Empowering the New Mobility Workforce (Elsevier, 2019) and serves as principal investigator for agencies including the California Energy Commission, California Air Resources Board, Caltrans, GO-Biz, and the U.S. Department of Transportation. He specializes in translating research into policy, fostering innovation, and leading systemwide initiatives that drive regional economic growth. He has developed training curricula for the Port of Long Beach, LA Metro, and Los Angeles Trade Technical College. His commentary has appeared on KABC, KNBC, and in the Los Angeles Times. Reeb hosts Mobility Matters, a podcast featuring transportation leaders. 

He earned his bachelor’s degree in English literature with an emphasis in film and mass media communications from UCLA and his doctorate in transdisciplinary research and writing methods from Claremont Graduate University.
