I didn’t get accepted to CSULB right out of high school, but after two years at UC Davis and two years at Pasadena City College, I was finally able to join the CSULB family. I was accepted as a Classics major, and that was the happiest day of my life. I moved to Long Beach to be able to attend classes, and I was very glad that I did. Although living in Long Beach wasn’t the best place to be, going to campus and studying was so worth it. My favorite place to study was from the bottom floor of the USU to the Starbucks inside the library. I loved being able to buy some pita bread and some hummus from the cafeteria as a study snack.

The first time I visited CSULB was for a high school LAMDL debate. My favorite part was walking around the campus after my debate was over and I stumbled upon the art buildings. There was an art exhibit going on, and seeing the lights of the campus at dusk was the most warmth I have ever felt being on a college campus. I wanted to attend this beautiful school because it was the only place that felt right.

Although I am about to finish my undergraduate career finally after six years, I am also going to reapply to CSULB to continue my credential program. I am hoping to gain a career teaching Latin to high school students.

Being a senior, I received information about myBEACH through my student email.
