Hodjat is a dedicated public health professional and lifelong Long Beach resident whose career reflects a deep commitment to advancing equitable aging and strengthening support systems for older adults in the community. She currently manages the Healthy Aging Center at the Long Beach Department of Health & Human Services, where she oversees case management and resource navigation for the city's aging residents.
With more than a decade of experience serving aging populations, Hodjat has contributed to several citywide efforts to improve how communities support older adults. She played a key role in developing the Long Beach Age-Friendly Action Plan, which outlines strategies to make the city more livable and accessible as people age.
Hodjat authored “Logistics of Loss,” a compassionate step-by-step guide for families navigating the practical matters following the death of a loved one. She is also a proud alumna of the Leadership Long Beach Institute, a program that brings together local leaders committed to strengthening the community.
