Julio Cortázar: A Life in Words and Musical Notes

Screen Shot 2014-03-18 at 3.46.38 PMThe Romance, German, Russian Languages and Literatures Department and the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music proudly present Julio Cortázar: A Life in Words and Musical Notes. This conference will run from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, March 21 at the Gerald Daniel Recital Hall.

The program consists of three paper-presentation panels, a lecture by Keynote Speaker Dr. René Prieto from the University of Texas, Dallas, and three musical events: a Laptop Ensemble concert at 12pm, Jazz music, including themes from the album Rayuela by Miguel Zenón and Laurent Coq at 5pm, and a New Music Ensemble concert at 7:30pm, featuring new pieces especially composed for this conference.
