Geography Awareness Week on Campus

This week is Geography Awareness Week and the Department of Geography is hosting a series of events to promote geographic education in schools and among the public. The events will include documentary films, guest speaker presentations, and more!

• Tuesday, November 19 from 4:45 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in PH1-122 and from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. outside PH1, authors Shanondoah Bennet and Brett Hart will introduce a film titled Breakwater (2013).
• Thursday, November 21 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in PH1-141, a documentary film by Harald Frield titled Africa Representa (2003, 76 min.) will be screened. Discussion with the filmmaker and geography professors will follow.
