Financial Aid and Scholarships

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Financial Aid Offers for Newly Admitted Students
Financial aid offers for newly admitted undergraduate students have begun to be released. Students will receive an email via their campus email address with instructions on how to view their offer.

  • Middle Class Scholarship (MCS) Estimates
Some students may see an estimated Middle Class Scholarship (MCS) included in their financial aid offer. This is an early estimate to help you plan and may change based on enrollment, eligibility, other aid, and changes in state funding.
What to expect: Final MCS award amounts are determined by the California Student Aid Commission (CSAC) and are typically confirmed and disbursed in late September.

The 2026-2027 FAFSA priority deadline was March 2, 2026.

Students are still encouraged to submit the FAFSA until June 30, 2027, but may not qualify for certain types of aid (like CSULB or California state-funded grants).

Visit our CSULB FAFSA / CADAA Support page.

Important Deadlines: Stay on top of important deadlines for enrollment, payments, aid applications, and more via Key Dates and Deadlines.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT:

We are aware that Congress has passed a reconciliation bill that has impacts to federal student aid, but these impacts do not take effect until after July 1, 2026.

What We Do Know:

  • The California State University system is working diligently to assess any potential impact on our students.
  • As this is an emerging update we will continue to provide updates as soon as more information becomes available.
  • For more information, visit The CSU Federal Updates page.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
