Dance Major Advising Appointment

The Undergraduate Advisor for Dance & Music is Kirsten Sumpter. All incoming freshman and transfers, BA, BFA, and BA Option in Dance Science dance majors should seek advising with her regarding their gerenral education and major academic requirements.

Scheduled Comprehensive Advising Appointments

Twenty-minute advising appointments can be booked up to two weeks in advance by logging into the Student Success Collaborative on Single Sign-On.  Student Success Collaborative will only display advising availability that does not conflict with your class schedule.  

Comprehensive Advising Appointments are appropriate for:

  • Schedule and graduation planning
  • Comprehensive GE & major advising
  • Probation, Disqualification, and Reinstatement
  • Timely Graduation Appeals
  • Adding/changing major/minor
  • Any other advising concerns/questions

Freshman Mandatory Advising

All Freshmen will have required advising in March/April.  We will cover your degree requirements and fall schedule.  Please do not schedule individual appointments until you have attended your advising workshop.

Walk-In Advising

Thursdays from 2PM-3:30PM and select Friday mornings.  Walk-in advising hours are subject to change. 

Walk-In Advising is appropriate for:

  • Quick Questions
  • Study Abroad Paperwork

Walk-In Advising is NOT appropriate for:

  • Schedule planning
  • Timely Graduation Appeals
  • Comprehensive GE & major advising
