West Campus Construction - Shuttle Detours

Routes affected: East/West Loop, All Campus Tripper, Los Coyotes and Express Shuttle

During construction, the Los Coyotes Shuttle will follow a detour route, the East/West Loop Shuttles will not be in operation, and the All Campus Tripper will have extended morning hours with additional shuttles to service all East/West Loop locations. Additionally, an Express Shuttle will be added to expedite passengers to their South Campus destinations.

Campus Construction Updates

CSULB ID Requirement (fall 2017)

Beginning August 25, 2017, shuttle riders will be required to present their CSULB ID card when boarding any campus shuttle. This requirement is designed to increase passenger safety as well as maximize the capacity of the shuttles during times of peak travel. The CSULB ID card requirement will apply to both on-campus and off-campus shuttles.

Anaheim (Detour)

SHUTTLE STOP DETOUR (Effective Sept. 5, 2017​): Due to heavy construction and severe traffic delays on 7th Street/SR-22, the CSULB campus stop for the Anaheim Shuttle will be moved to Earl Warren/Beach Dr. Shuttle passsengers can quickly transfer to the Express Shuttle route from this location to continue travel via shuttle to upper campus destinations. This change will perserve a 30 minute headway and prevent further travel delays to campus .

The Anaheim Shuttle route was added in Aug. 2016 and picks up at two convenient locations west of campus. Campus shuttles are FREE to all currently enrolled students, as well as faculty and staff members with valid CSULB ID.

Anaheim Street Shuttle

Monday-Thursday, 7:20 a.m.-11 p.m.

Shuttles will arrive approximately every 30 minutes. Please visit csulbshuttle.com for real-time shuttle locations.

Los Coyotes (Detour)

Due to construction at the West Campus Circle, the Los Coyotes Shuttle will temporary detour to the East Campus Circle for its final stop (detour map provided below). Shuttles will arrive every 10 minutes during peak hours (7:15 a.m.-8 p.m.).

CSULB provides an off-campus shuttle service to the high-density student area located near Los Coyotes Diagonal and Stearns Street. This area has been identified as being without easy, direct access to Long Beach Transit bus service to campus. The purpose of this shuttle service is to further promote sustainability and reduce personal vehicle trips to campus. Campus shuttles are FREE to all currently enrolled students, as well as faculty and staff members with valid CSULB ID.

Offsite Shuttle Los Coyotes

Monday-Thursday, 7:15 a.m.-11 p.m.

7:15 a.m.-8 p.m.: Every 10 minutes
8 p.m.-11 p.m.: Every 15 minutes

All Campus Tripper (ext. hours)

  • All Campus Tripper: Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m.-12 a.m.; Friday, 7 a.m.-5 p.m.

Due to construction at the West Campus Circle, the All Campus Tripper will run for extended hours with additional shuttles to service all East/West Loop locations.

Express

Express Shuttles will run from 7 a.m.-6 p.m., Mon.-Thurs. during construction operations at the West Campus Circle in order to expedite passengers to their South Campus destinations.

Beachside

Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m.-1 a.m., Friday, 7 a.m.-11 p.m.

7 a.m.-4 p.m.: Every 15 minutes
4 p.m.-7 p.m.: Every 20 minutes
​After 7 p.m.: Every 40 minutes

Priority seating is offered to Beachside residents with Beachside ID sticker.

Additional Shuttle Info

All shuttles operate during fall and spring semesters only. Shuttles do not operate during summer session or on days when the university is closed. Shuttle time estimates may be slightly delayed during times of severe traffic or adverse weather.

All shuttles are free of charge with a valid CSULB ID.

CSULB shuttles run on compressed natural gas, which produces 30% less emissions than standard diesel fuel.
