Lead Student Ambassador since Fall 2017

Chloe transferred to CSULB from Santa Ana College and is currently enrolled in the Integrated Teacher Education Program, also known as ITEP. She is in the Urban Dual Credential Program (UDCP) pathway pursuing two teaching credentials: Multiple Subject and Education Specialist. Chloe also represents and advocates for College of Education students in her role as a Senator for CSULB’s Associated Students Incorporated (ASI).

Frances Canales

Student Ambassador since Fall 2017

Frances graduated from Millikan High School and is studying in the Integrated Teacher Education Program (ITEP), specifically in the Urban Dual Credential Program (UDCP) pathway pursuing two teaching credentials: Multiple Subject and Education Specialist. Frances, the first in her family to attend college, is also the captain of the CSULB Women’s Rugby team.

Sue Chi

Student Ambassador since Fall 2017

Sue graduated from Cerritos High School in Spring 2017 and began her studies at CSULB soon after. She is enrolled in the Liberal Studies undergraduate program and enjoys being a part of the College and the SAMs team because her involvement has allowed her to meet students with similar interests.

Robert Garcia

Student Ambassador since Fall 2016

Robert graduated in Spring 2017 with his bachelor’s degree in Africana Studies from CSULB and is now enrolled in the Special Education Credential Program. Robert enjoys mentoring young students in underserved communities and coaching football. Prior to attending CSULB, Robert was a student at Coastline Community College.

Nikki Jenkins

Student Ambassador since Fall 2017

Nikki played golf at Orange Coast College where she started her higher education career before transferring to The Beach. She is currently enrolled in the Integrated Teacher Education Program (ITEP) and will soon graduate with her bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies and her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. Nikki is in the CSULB Rowing Team and is the team coxswain.

Hannah Kim

Student Ambassador since Fall 2017

Hannah would like to teach in an elementary school and is currently enrolled in the Integrated Teacher Education Program, also known as ITEP. She is an Executive Board member for TedxCSULB as well as an advisor for Student Orientation, Advising and Registration (SOAR). Hannah attended high school in La Palma, California and studied at Cypress College prior to enrolling at CSULB.

Emely Lopez

Student Ambassador since Fall 2017

Emely attended High School in Downey, CA and began her college career at The Beach soon after. Emely is an ASI (Associated Students Inc.) College of Education Senator and serves on the University Educator Preparation Committee and Dual Enrollment Task Force. She has worked with her local school district in Downey, CA to develop a college and career campaign for students at all grade levels. She volunteers, organizes, attends education conferences, and reads on education issues on her spare time.

Samantha (Sam) Lopez

Student Ambassador since Fall 2017

Sam attended Bellflower High School and later transferred from Cerritos College in Fall 2016 where she was part of the Future Teacher Track Program. She is now enrolled in ITEP or Integrated Teacher Education Program and enjoys doing outreach throughout campus and in the Long Beach community representing CSULB College of Education.

Lauren Martinez

Student Ambassador since Fall 2017

Lauren is a proud alumna of Rio Hondo Community College and is excited to be graduating with her bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies and her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential in Spring 2018! Through her involvement with the Student Ambassadors program, Lauren has found a sense of community at CSULB and is glad to have the opportunity to work with other SAMs, staff and faculty in the College.

Nicole Wolf

Student Ambassador since Fall 2017

Nicole transferred to CSULB from Golden West College and is pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in History and Social Science. She is a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority on campus, enjoys riding her bike along the beach in her free time, and hopes to one day become an elementary school teacher.
