Programs with Fall Admission

The first day to apply for Fall 2020 admission is October 1, 2019. Please click your program of interest below for the paper, program application packet and deadline. You may email the Graduate Studies Office and request to be added to our Prospective Student list for your program of interest. 

Due to the ongoing considerations surrounding the novel coronavirus, or COVID-19, for the remainder of the semester, many staff will be asked to continue to work remotely on most days. Therefore, for candidates applying to programs with an April 15, 2020 or June 1, 2020 deadline, please submit program application materials to the Graduate Studies Office electronically via email to: ced-gradstudies@csulb.eduPlease note that Letter of Recommendation forms and narrative letters should be submitted directly by recommenders via email to ced-gradstudies@csulb.edu

Our office is closed on the weekend. Please check the Graduate Studies Office homepage for the hours of operation. The Cal State Apply online university application closes at midnight on the deadline date.

Develops highly trained professional who help children and youth succeed academically, behaviorally, emotionally, and socially via prevention and intervention supports. These services are provided to students as well as educators and families who care for them.

Prepares therapists for licensed independent practice to work in private practice, community-agency settings, government-court settings, hospitals and clinics, employee assistance programs, and city-county-state agencies to provide counseling services for adults, children, families, and couples.

Provides foundations and practical skills for career growth in settings that use educational technologies and e-learning.  Students include K-12 teachers, university staff and faculty, school librarians, technology coordinators, and educational media developers.

An interdisciplinary program that utilizes critical approaches to understand and analyze the relationship between education and society–both locally and globally–with an emphasis on effecting social change.

* International students have additional application materials and deadlines. Applicants who plan to attend CSULB on an F1 or J1 visa, must apply using the international application at Cal State Apply by the application deadline or April 1, 2020, whichever comes first. Please contact the Center for International Education by email.

+ The December 1, 2019 deadline is a weekend. Our office is closed on the weekend. The deadline for the program application will be Monday, December 2, 2019. Program applications must be received by the deadline, however the online university application is due December 1, 2019. Postmarked applications after the deadline will NOT be accepted.
