Dr. Caroline Lopez-Perry's Recent Articles Explore School Counseling Curriculum & Doctoral Program Enrollment

Dr. Caroline Lopez-Perry’s recently published articles on school counseling focus on the design of classroom curriculum lesson-planning and school counselor enrollment in counselor education doctoral programs.

An article on curriculum planning, “School Counselors as Curricular Leaders: A Content Analysis of ASCA Lesson Plans” examines school counselors' design of classroom curriculum through a content analysis of lesson plans from the American School Counselor (ASCA) Scene website. It was published as part of the Professional School Counseling Journal, the official journal of the Southern Association for Counselor Education and Supervision.

The latter publication exploring doctoral program enrollment entitled, “Career-Decision Making: School Counselors in Counselor Education Doctoral Programs” shared research examining the factors affecting school counselors’ enrollment in various doctoral programs and their future career decision-making. This study was published in Teaching and Supervision in Counseling.
