Civil Engineering was introduced at Freshmen-Sophomore level in 1957 and expanded to Junior-Senior levels in 1958. It was first accredited in 1963 by the Engineers’ Council for Professional Development (now Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology). BSCE was previously accredited in 2012.
The CSULB Construction Engineering Management Program has been accredited by the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE) since 2012. As of Fall 2017, the name of the Construction Engineering Management program has been changed to Construction Management.
