ORCA ("Online Remote Collections Access") has allowed the CSULB Library to make more space available for student study in the building by relocating some materials in the ORCA retrieval system. This system saves both space and time for students and faculty! You can submit your request through OneSearch from any computer, on- or off-campus. Request materials from ORCA from your home, residence, or office BEFORE coming to the library and the pick up those materials at the Circulation Desk when you arrive at the building.

ORCA Retrieval Schedule

Requests will be processed daily beginning 30 minutes after building opening hours, and will continue every 30 minutes until 30 minutes prior to closing time.  For example, if you submit a request Sunday night after the Library has closed for the day, your request will be queued and will be available for pickup 1/2 hour after opening on Monday.  If you submit a request on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m., your request will be ready for pickup at 3:30 p.m. the same day.  ORCA requests will be held under your name at the Circulation Desk for 24 hours.
