
California State University, Long Beach in conjunction with the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) is proud to offer programs within the Center for Active Aging & Kinesiotherapy Clinic (CAA) designed for adults 50+ who are looking for activities that exercise the mind, body, and spirit. CAA participants enjoy fitness classes and individual workouts on our weight and cardio machines, in an atmosphere of support and camaraderie. Supportive staff members are available to assist with program progression,
adaptations, and to provide motivation. The CAA is located on the campus of California State University, Long Beach.
General membership is $35.00 monthly, parking included
The following fitness classes are included in the $35.00 monthly fee and are every day, year round.
Aqua Fitness 12:00 – 12:50
Splash your way to a healthier you! Class is located at the University Pool near the track and field area.
Fit and Fun 12:00 – 1:00
A fun one hour class that includes 5-7 minutes of low-impact cardio, 35-40 minutes of resistance, strength training & balance work, followed by 10-15 minutes of stretching. This is designed for those looking for a comprehensive, yet low-intensity, workout that leaves you feeling fit & rejuvenated.
Spinning- (Stationery Bike Class) 9:00 – 10:00
Participants choose 30 or 45 minutes; rider adjusts bike to challenge on an individual basis. Beginners are encouraged.
Balance 1:30 – 2:00
30 minutes of core stabilization, postural, static and dynamic equilibrium exercises to enhance and improve your balance.
Stretch 2:00 – 3:00
A relaxed, gentle class that combines dynamic and static stretching techniques to improve joint ranges of motion and muscle elasticity.
Chair Challenge 3:00 – 3:45
A fun 45-minute class that includes 20 minutes of seated exercises, a 5 minute break followed by 20 min. of seated and/or standing exercises, accompanied by stretching.

FULL BODY plate-loaded conditioning class with consistent choreography that is simple and fun combined with energizing music.
