CSULB Library to receive CDs as part of an antitrust settlement
Libraries across California are beginning to receive free CDs as part of a multimillion dollar settlement with music companies. CSULB will receive it's share as well. However, all is not well with the distribution. Many libraries are complaining that the record companies are dumping their overstock on libraries, the San Francisco Chronicle reports. Your Arts Librarian has looked at the list that CSULB is to receive and tends to agree. We will get many things that are useful to our Library but we'll also receive a lot of junk. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth?
