Featuring Gloria by internationally renowned choreographer Mark Morris, described by the Washington Post “a swell of music and euphoria.” Danced to Vivaldi’s Gloria in D, Morris’ brilliance for a movement invention transports the viewer into a world of the intangible. Gloria will be performed by dance majors from the CSULB Dance, the Bob Cole Symphony conducted by Johannes Müller-Stosch and the University Choir led by Jonathon Talberg.

Faculty choreographers Rebecca Bryant, Rebecca Lemme, Julio Medina and Andrew Vaca complete an exciting evening with three more campus premieres:  A multi-media contemporary dance work to Aerialityby Icelandic composer Anna Thorvaldsdottir; a fresh view of Mahler’s Symphony No. 5 in C-Sharp Minor incorporating breaking and crumping; and an interpretation of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3 in C Minor that delights in a surprising immersion of musical soloist and dancers. Newly designed costumes, sets and lighting complement an evening of breath-taking movement and live music—don’t miss it
