Mary Jo Lass

1966-2002

Department: Teacher education, College of Education

Other departments I worked in: English, Mexican – American Studies, Testing Office, all CSULB Colleges, Learning Assistance Center.

Job Titles: all professor ranks, Acting Student Affirmative Coordinator, Teacher Intern Program Coordinator, University – Wide Composition Program Coordinator.

Experience at LBSC: Working at LBSU gave me the opportunity to work in Canada, Mexico, and all over the U.S.

Most memorable: Leading workshops for the Hawaii State Department of Education in Oahu.

Other things I worked on while at LBSU were developing tests such as the CBEST, ETS and ACT.

I decided to work at LBSC because of the chance to use my expertise at local, state, and national levels of academia. I was impressed with the interview process and faculty. I worked at CSULB while continuing to work at LBU School District. My first assignment while at LBSU consisted of four courses of Elementary school in American Society; it was very broad and interesting.
