Director Emeritus, Cabrillo Marine Aquarium

Mike Schaadt crowned his 37-year career in Marine Biology as Director of the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium, where he facilitated oceanology and conservation programs and exhibits that garnered national recognition. He is a founding member of the Southern California Aquarium Collaborative, which develops resources for local Marine Protected Areas. Mike is currently a Marine Science and Biology lecturer at Cerritos Community College, advisor for the Venice Oceanarium, and Board member for the Friends of the Seal Beach National Wildlife Refuge. He has maintained strong ties to The Beach as a frequent event and seminar attendee, and as a long-time employer of CSULB students at the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium.
