INFORMATION and ADVICE
Domestic violence is a serious problem that can ruin the lives of the aggressor, victims, and all other family members. One of the very serious effects is to increase the chances that children will learn the same beliefs and behaviors and continue the cycle of violence in their own families.

If there is too much aggression, manipulation, violence, or threat of violence in your family, IT WILL NOT GO AWAY BY ITSELF.  You must get help to end this terrible condition; you cannot do it alone.  Get counseling immediately.  There are many places that you can go that are free for people suffering from domestic violence.  Use our Internet links to get a start, or consult your phone book help pages.

You should act now, violence tends to escalate if left alone, not get better!

IMPROVING SELF-ESTEEM, INTERNAL CONTROL, AND ASSERTIVENESS

Improving self-esteem, internal control, or assertiveness can cause people to fear conflict situations and become easy targets for more aggressive or manipulative people.  Even people with relatively al control, or assertiveness can cause people to fear conflict situations and become easy targets for more aggressive or manipulative people.  Even people with relatively good self-esteem can be manipulated when they run into someone extremely skilled at manipulation.  Developing your self-esteem, internal control, and assertiveness skills can make you much stronger in conflict situations or any situations involving differences of opinion.
