Web Page Development

For this assignment you create a Webpage or series of pages that provides useful information in an educational context or that is designed as a lesson to teach something. You should also Publish your pages, using your CSULB web server space that comes with your email account.

Grading Criteria;

1.     The content of your web page should at least be 300 words.

2.     Include external links to at least 5 other web pages with related information. (1 point)

3.     Include internal links (at least 3 links to the somewhere on the same page). (1 points)

1.     Include at least 2 graphics related to the content of your web page. (1 points)

2.     Publish your web page. If you publish your webpage you have to send me the URL of your published web site. I need this because I want to see the exact address of your web site). (1 points)

3.     Using tables, frames, and your own drawings, your scanned images (1 points)

4.     Using sounds, animations, or videos. (2 points)

5.     Instructional value & Overall Look. (3 points)

To publish your files to your CSULB web account

1-     Save your webpage and all pictures and sounds and videos in one folder.

2-     It is recommended to either name it “index” or name it with a ONE_WORD lowercase.

3-     Try (test) your web page before you publish it.

4-     Go to ftp.csulb.edu ,and use this link , and follow the steps in the slide show to publish your web pages.

Here is a guide to use Microsoft word in creating web pages.

For this assignment, you may either use HTML code (as discussed in class), or you may use Claris Works, Netscape, Front Page or Microsoft Word. Beware that even if you use a web editor to create your web page you are likely to find it necessary to edit the HTML code directly, so it is important that (NOT For This Project) you understand the basics of coding in HTML.
