Supporting Science for Young Learners

The National Center for Science in Early Childhood (NCSEC) is devoted to creating and providing science resources and professional development to teachers of children ages 0-8 and their families.

We currently offer science professional development programs for toddler, pre-K, and Transitional Kindergarten teachers, as well as a pre-K/TK engineering program. Among our many publications are two teacher resource guides, A Head Start on Science and A Head Start on Life Science, both available through NSTA Press.

The National Center for Science in Early Childhood is part of the Science Education Department at California State University, Long Beach.
