Patrick Goggin, Board Member

A double alumnus of California State University, Long Beach, Mr. Goggin graduated with his bachelor’s degree in 1987 in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in 1991 in engineering.  Currently, Pat is the Vice President and General Manager of Defense, Space & Security Development at Boeing.  In 2009, Pat was named Vice President of Boeing's Development Process Excellence Initiative, and Vice President and Chief Engineer for the Southern California Region of BDS Engineering and Mission Assurance.  Previously, he served as Chief Engineer for BDS Command, Control and Communications Networks at the Huntington Beach-Anaheim sites.

Pat has served in a number of engineering leadership roles since joining Boeing in 1987, including Director of Structures Technology in Boeing Research & Technology, and Director of Structures Design and Analysis at the Huntington Beach site.  He is an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and served as a past board member for the Los Angeles Harbor Boys & Girls Club.  He was also part of Leadership Long Beach and served since 2010 on the College of Engineering Advisory Board.  In 2005, Pat was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award from the College of Engineering.  While at CSULB, he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon.
