A JFM Special Issue

Call for Papers

The Journal of Film Music publishes original articles and reviews that address any aspect of film music. Letters to the Editor are welcomed. It is a condition of publication that manuscripts have not been previously published and will not be simultaneously submitted or published elsewhere.

Information for Contributors

Please forward an electronic file of original material to:

William H. Rosar, Editor.

JFM follows a policy of blind peer review. To facilitate anonymous review, only the title of the article should appear on the title page. Please include a separate title page with authors' name and affiliation, mailing address, phone/fax number, e-mail address and any acknowledgements or credits. The author should make every effort to see that the manuscript itself contains no clues as to their identities.

Articles, including endnotes, must be submitted in a commonly used word processing program, preferably Microsoft Word. For matters of style, please follow the latest edition of The Chicago Manual of Style. Articles must contain footnote references and a reference list.

Musical examples, photographs or figures to be included should have notes in the text as to approximate placement of each example. Examples must be submitted in TIFF format at 600 dpi resolution. All examples must have permissions secured by the author.

Manuscripts that are currently under consideration by another journal, or that have been published previously, in whole or in part, may not be submitted. Authors will be requested to sign a transfer of copyright to the International Film Music Society so that authors and publishers may be protected from misuse of copyrighted material.

Please contact the Managing Editor for additional information.
