Quiz Time and Dates: Quiz 1, April 12, Chapter 12. Quiz 2, April 19, Chapter 15. Quiz 3, April 26, Chapters 24 and 25. Quiz 4, May 17, Chapter 27. Quiz 5, May 24, Chapters 13 and 14. Quiz 6, May 31, Chapter 28. There are two problems worth five points each . Partial credits are given by your TA. You should memorize all the necessary equations needed for each quiz. I'll provide you with constants.

Midterm Exam: Friday, May 3. Chapters: 12,15, 25, 26. Your midterm is in "Multiple Choice Problems with Answers". You must show detail work below each problem on how you arrived at your answer. If your answer is marked wrong on the scatron you will receive zero points for that problem. However, if the problem has been marked with PCP, "Partial Credit Problems", you may discuss with me receiving partial credit. Partial credits will only be given for correct methods and concepts with calculator related wrong answers. If you feel you have made a numerical error on PCP, please set up a time with me so that we can go over them for minimal partial credits. I'll talk further about partial credits during my lectures prior to your exam time. Important: Your multiple choice answers to your exam must be clearly marked on "Scantron No 8000" and on your test. Please do not bend your scantron.

Final Exam: Friday, June 14, 1:30 - 3:30 in class.

Homework and Quizzes : Homework will be assigned each week but will not be collected or graded. You are strongly encouraged to complete all homework assignments prior to checking the solutions posted on our course website. Quiz and exam questions may be similar but not the same to these questions/problems and the examples given in the text and lectures.

Quizzes, which last approximately 15 minutes, with 5 minutes of pick up time, are administered and collected each Friday at the end of the lecture. Quiz solutions are posted on this site or in our lecture room on a bulletin board provided there is one available. Graded quizzes will be handed back to you either during TA's office hours or during your discussion section on Fri, 9-10. Ask TA's for any prior graded quizzes. Quizzes will be kept by TA's for two weeks and then discarded.

Quizzes, midterms and the final scores are posted on UCI, Physics 3C website. If there is any discrepancies in your recorded score or if your score is missing, notify your TA as soon as possible. Scores will not be given over the telephone. Keep you graded quizzes throughout the session so you will have confirmation of your score. No regrades will be given. All missed quizzes will be given a score of zero.

Note: The preceding is my planned schedule as of the first day of classes. I reserve the right to make changes. I will try to give you adequate notice.
